Maybe I should have continued singing, says Emraan Hashmi
Emraan Hashmi, who is seen singing in the recently released trailer of his next film Cheat India, has no plans to turn singer any time soon.
“I am trained in classical singing, and I love singing ghazals. I don't think I am too good at it, so I let go of singing. I now feel I should have continued my training, and maybe I will. It's never too late,” the actor offers.
The actor also speaks about his son, and says that he wants him to follow a religion of his choice. “My son need not practice his father's religion only. He can go to a temple or even a Church. We have a liberal atmosphere at home.”
Speaking about his son Ayaan and dealing with his cancer treatment, Emraan shares, “He is a unique child, who is full of life, and I have been told by people that he has a certain aura. I am an introvert but he is an extrovert, and loves attention.”
Adding more on Ayaan, who turns 5 on Jan 12, the hands-on father says, “He is very strong and has dealt strongly with cancer. Though I do attend important events in school with him, I have professional assignments to complete and his mom is always there for him. He loves his mom a lot.”
Asked whether he wanted his son to follow in his footsteps, Emraan says, "I do not want him to be an actor only because I am an actor. I keep explaining to him that there are many more options in life.”
However, Emraan is careful not to impose his fears about this profession on his son. “It's just that I want him to keep his eyes and ears open with regard to other professions as well,”he says.
