Salman Khan seeks new co-stars
In the coming years, you may not see Salman Khan being paired with his usual leading ladies, namely Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez or Sonakshi Sinha.
The word is out that beginning with Dabangg 3 — in which the actor was paired with the time-tested Sonakshi, as well as newcomer Saaee Manjrekar — Salman wants a total revamp in his lineup of co-stars. In Radhe, which pairs Salman with his Bharat co-star Disha Patani, he is looking at a fresh gallery of leading ladies.
A close friend of the actor, who has been with him for years, says it’s the need of the times. “I’m glad Salman has woken up to it. Audiences love seeing Salman on screen with any heroine, but the repeated pairing with a few actresses is now becoming slightly monotonous. Salman is now looking at coming together with heroines he has not worked with so far.”
Deepika Padukone is one major leading lady whom Salman is keen to be paired with. “Of course they’ll come together, but the actress’ part has to be substantial. Deepika may be part of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, provided the role of the heroine shapes up effectively,” says the actor’s friend.
