Despite being an A.R. Rahman musical, OK Jaanu failed to live up to expectations, and even failed to recover its cost at the box office.
Aditya Roy Kapoor is once bitten twice shy. After Aashiqui 2, his pairing with Shraddha Kapoor in OK Jaanu was supposed to set cash registers ringing.
However, the movie got off to a disastrous start, and even took a beating, as it was the first big release of 2017. Despite being an A.R. Rahman musical, OK Jaanu failed to live up to expectations, and even failed to recover its cost at the box office.
This seems to have made Aditya wary about his future plans, as the actor seems to have taken his failure to heart. If word is to be believed, he’s choosing his next projects quite consciously. A source close to the actor informs us, “After the debacle of OK Jaanu, Aditya doesn’t want to work with random directors, and has recently rejected two film offers of a debutant director. The actor is in no mood to repeat mistakes.”
