The actress added that doing this film was like stepping into a big game for her.
Hyderabad: Generally, Bollywood films, which consists of an ensemble cast are targeted by external forces that they cast their heroines to appear merely as an eye-candy, to attract footfalls to the multiplexes.
However, slowly and steadily, the act has been changing and for the good.
In the recent past, we’ve seen many women-centric films, where the actresses have done a phenomenal job. For instance, films like Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah’s ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha,’ Aishwarya Rai’s ‘Sarbjit,’ Vidya Balan’s ‘Kahaani’ and so on.
While addressing the media recently, actress Parineeti Chopra, who will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s fourth instalment of Golmaal, said that she was unsure whether she could reveal details about her role, despite which she gave us some hints.
“This Golmaal is special, there’s a very important and new element, which Tabu and me are going to bring. I have a very important role in the film, I’m not just the heroine,” said the ‘Meri Pyari Bindu’ actress.
“I’m happy that I’m a part of this comedy. For me, it was the moment of honour when I signed ‘Golmaal,’ it was like joining the big league, being Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s heroine. The kind of films that I’ve done before are with friends and mostly with boys who are of my age. This was like stepping up into a big game for me. Obviously, I felt very proud of myself that I’d earned this. It’s been my favourite shooting experience out of all my films. Rohit gives all the luxury and freedom while shooting, the crew was amazing and I’m very sad that it’s coming to an end,” signed off the actress who was seen beaming with joy.
The entire team along with Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Ashad Warsi, Kunal Khemmu, Tusshar Kapoor are presently in Hyderabad, shooting for the title track of the film, which is definitely going to top the chartbusters.
'Golmaal Again,' the fourth installment of the Rohit Shetty franchise is produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Reliance Entertainment and Mangal Murti Films. The film is set to release this Diwali, October 2017.
