The actress says that the badminton sequences of the Indian shutter’s biopic will be shot later, when she’s better prepared.
The Saina Nehwal biopic starring Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role hasn’t kicked off on schedule. The reason for the delay — the actress isn’t fully prepared to play the famed Indian shuttler.
“We are going on floors next month. But we will be shooting the non-badminton portions first. I am not yet ready to play like Saina onscreen; it will take some time to get it right. Only when my game is good enough will we shoot the badminton sequences,” Shraddha says.
The actress, who’s been taking badminton lessons for over a month and a half now, adds, “I think that’s the only way to do it. It’s a very big responsibility, and I should try to play the part as well as I can. Of course, I cannot become a pro in one year, it’s not possible. But I will try my best to be as good as the shots demand. That’s what I am working on, and we will get there. I am going to train for as long as it takes.”
