Saif, Dinesh reunite for GGG2

Dinesh reveals that while they aren't back together for good, they're taking things as they come.

When Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan decided to set up Illuminati Films in 2009, the former was the face of the company, and the latter was the experienced producer. After producing a few films like Love Aaj Kal and Cocktail, Dinesh decided to pursue direction, and Saif decided to move on from the partnership. Now, they’re all set to reunite to bankroll the sequel to Go Goa Gone.

Dinesh reveals that while they aren’t back together for good, they’re taking things as they come. “Saif and I have had a fantastic journey. We worked very hard, but we were also lucky to taste the kind of success that we did. We had a natural partnership that worked. Right now, the only film that we are planning to make is the sequel to Go Goa Gone, because we worked together on the first part. We’re taking it one step at a time,” he says.

The producer also denies that he’s had any discussion with Saif regarding a sequel to Hindi Medium. “I haven’t spoken to anyone about the Hindi Medium sequel. The only film we are working on together is the GGG sequel, which Raj and Krishna are currently writing,” he says.

When we ask him about speculations doing the round regarding the film’s casting, he tells us, “We have just completed the first draft of the script. We will only move ahead with casting when we have the final draft and clarity on Irrfan Khan’s situation. Until then, everything is just speculation.”
