The movie is Parineeti’s first Rs 100 crore film, and even as the Rohit Shetty movie crawls to the Rs 200 crore mark.
Every big success brings in a windfall for stars connected to the movie, and that’s exactly what’s happening to Parineeti Chopra, who played a fun character in Golmaal Again.
The movie is Parineeti’s first Rs 100 crore film, and even as the Rohit Shetty movie crawls to the Rs 200 crore mark, the actress has hiked her fee substantially.
“This, however, does not apply to films she’s already signed. Her new fee will be applicable to all the films she’s under discussion to sign,” says a source. “A major reason for Parineeti not signing any new films in the recent past was that she and her team were waiting to see the box office performance of Golmaal Again. They were sure it would do exceedingly well, and the fourth part of the franchise has exceeded all expectations.”
Interestingly, Parineeti isn’t too sure if she’ll get a chance in the next Golmaal instalment that’s to be made. “Usually, the girls are replaced in the film, because the movie is about the boys,” says the actress. “I would love to be a part of it though.”
Well, Kareena Kapoor Khan did end up acting in two of the movies, so Pari could still count on it.
