Manikarnika release pushed to June
Kangana Ranaut’s fans, who have eagerly been waiting to see her as the Rani of Jhansi in the period drama Manikarnika, may have to wait just a little longer.
While the actress has rigorously been shooting for the movie, the release has been postponed. Manikarnika will now hit the screens only in June this year, instead of April, as was originally planned.
Says a source close to the film, “Kangana is in Himachal Pradesh these days, spending some quality time with her family. She will resume work soon, but the VFX on the film is going to take a bit longer. So now the film will release only in June, or maybe even July.”
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is being directed by Krish, and will be Kangana’s first movie as a producer. The movie will also star television actress Ankita Lokhande. And despite the fact that her last outings — Simran and Rangoon — failed at the box office, there are a lot of expectations riding on Kangana for this one.
