An elated director Syed Ahmad Afzal says, ‘I had never imagined that the iPhone lying in my pocket would one day enable me to create a unique cinematic experience in the form of ‘YOU and I’. Since its release on Humara Movie’s Youtube channel, the short film has been generating fantastic response from the audience and media. Earlier, when we had submitted the short film to various International film festivals and against all expectations it bagged quite a few awards and was screened in cities all across the globe. I would like to thank my wife, Tara Alisha Berry, Kunal M Shah, Mathias Duplessy and other team members for their unconditional support in making this short film possible’.

“Renowned filmmaker Sean Baker, who recently delivered the critically acclaimed The Florida Project, was the first to shoot an entire feature film Tangerine on two iPhone 5s smartphones. It was my real inspiration behind my keen interest in mobile filmmaking,” Afzal concludes.
