Confirmed! Kajol and Dhanush's VIP 2 to hit the screens on this special day
The film will be releasing on the birthday of Dhanush, who has contributed with his acting, production and writing.
Mumbai: Fans of Kajol have been waiting to see the actress on the big screen after her last outing at the box office, with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Dilwale', didn't exactly work wonders. But the wait is set to get over soon.
The actress signed a Tamil film after that, opposite Dhanush, the second installment of 'Velaiilla Pattadhari,' which marks her comeback in Kollywood industry after 20 years.
The film had gone on floors in style with megastar Rajinikanth, who is the father-in-law of Dhanush and father of the director of the film, Soundarya Rajinikanth, snapping the clapboard.
Kajol had kicked off the shoot of the film in January and wrapped the shoot in March.
The release date of the film has now also been revealed. Dhanush took to Twitter on Tuesday and shared a video announcing that film is releasing on July 28, his birthday.

Dhanush, who is also among the producers of the film, has also penned the story and dialogues while Soundarya has also given the screenplay for the film.
It would be interesting to see how the pairing of Kajol and Dhanush comes across on the big screen when the film hits the screens.
