After Thugs of Hindostan, torrent site threatens to leak Rajini-Akshay Kumar's 2.0
Mumbai: Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's upcoming Sci-Fi thriller 2.0 is one of the most awaited films of 2018. Made on a budget close to Rs 600 crores, the film is touted as the costliest one ever produced in Indian cinema. While the fans are waiting for film’s release with bated breath, the makers are left worried with the latest announcement from popular torrent site named Tamilrockers.
Recently, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's Diwali release Thugs of Hindostan was pirated on the very first day. Tamilrockers as announced placed the HD copies of the films online right on the release day. Tamilrockers took twitter to make a piracy threat to the makers of 2.0. With this latest announcement, the makers of 2.0 are in big worry as the huge amount of money is at stake.
A tweet that surfaced on the Twitter handle of Tamilrockers read, “#2Point0 Coming Soon in Tamil Rockers.” Later the Twitter handle was suspended but within a few minutes, a new handle was also created by the miscreants. “#2Point0 #2point0November #2Point0FromNov29 #Rajinikanth #Rajini #SuperStar #TR #TamilRockers. Our Old Account Suspended @TamilRockersMV,” read the tweet on the new Twitter handle.
As soon as they sent out the tweet threatening to leak the film, several Twitter users reported it and fortunately Twitter took swift action by suspending their handle just within an hour. However, their website is still functional which could jeopardize film's collection if the film gets leaked online.
Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson starrer 2.0 is all set to hit the theatres on November 29, 2018 .
