Amit Shah to watch Padmavati?
With protests against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati getting out of hand more than ever now, it looks like the urgency of the issue has finally dawned. Some members of the ruling party are taking matters into their own hands; they are looking forward to reviewing the film after it goes through the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
It looks like there will be special screenings organised for the president of the BJP, Amit Shah, minister for information and broadcast, Smriti Irani, and sports minister Rajyavardhan Rathore.
Says a source close to the development, “They are trying to zero in on individuals, who will be heard by protesters once the CBFC clears the film. We are very confident that the protests would die down once these opinion makers watch the film.”
