Sanjay Dutt’s comeback venture, Bhoomi, is one of the most awaited movies of the year. And the actor unveiled the trailer of his movie on the occasion of darling daughter Trishala’s birthday.

The actor revealed that he would think of his daughters Trishala and Iqra while shooting the movie, which is primarily based on a father-daughter relationship. “Everything helps you in a way. I used to think about Trishala and Iqra while shooting. I used to think of Priya (Dutt, sister) while shooting. Because she was my dad’s favourite, she could get away with anything,” he smiled.

“I think it’s an important day for Trishala, and we all miss her,” Sanjay added, as a voice clip of hers was played at the event.

Apart from the team of Bhoomi, the Dutt biopic crew was also present at the trailer launch, as they’re as close as family to the actor. Ranbir Kapoor, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and Rajkumar Hirani were present to cheer the actor on.

On being quizzed about films like Mom and Maatr having a similar storyline as Bhoomi, Sanju gets iffy. “I know they’re similar, but this is a father protecting his daughter,” he says.

Ask him why he decided to make a comeback with Bhoomi, and he says, “I loved the script. It’s an emotional story about the relationship between a father and daughter who come from a middle class family. I wanted to make my comeback with a film my family should be proud of.”
