Ranbir Kapoor doesn't agree with Rishi Kapoor over Jagga Jasoos
The team of the untitled Dutt biopic were present at the launch of Sanjay Dutt’s comeback movie, Bhoomi too. Lending his support to Sanju, director Rajkumar Hirani said, “It’s an amazing life and Sanju has been brave enough to spread his cards honestly to us, and he’s not scared. He has opened up and said do what you like. Biopics can be pretty one sided but this is one from all perspectives.”
Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing Sanjay in the biopic, was also asked questions about his latest movie Jagga Jasoos. The actor’s father, Rishi Kapoor, had lashed out at director Anurag Basu for the failure of the movie, and for taking so long to direct it. However, when asked if it was fair on the team, Ranbir said he doesn’t necessarily agree with what his father says.
“My father is a very emotional man,” said Ranbir. “Whatever he said was to protect me in some way. Jagga Jasoos is something we worked on for three-and-a-half years. We all were aware of what we were doing. Sometimes you succeed, sometimes you fail.”
He added, “But I don’t look at it as a failure. I look at it as learning. It gave me a lot. The experience of working with Anurag and everyone was very good. I can’t answer for somebody else, but I don’t necessarily agree with everything.”
