All three of them have been signed on by producer Sajid Nadiadwala, with a carte blanche to make any film they desire.
In the past year, three new directors have come into the limelight for making a huge impact critically and commercially — Nitesh Tiwari, who made Dangal, Saket Chowdhary of Hindi Medium, and Shree Narayan Singh, who made Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
And now, All three of them have been signed on by producer Sajid Nadiadwala, with a carte blanche to make any film they desire. Shree admits it’s a work in progress for the illustrious Sajid. “I’m doing a love story for him. That I have decided. I’m working on it. The scripting is going on,” he says.
Says Nitesh, “Yes, I’ve agreed to do a film, but we’re yet to decide on the subject.” Saket too is yet to decide on a topic. Says Sajid, “The idea is not to go director-shopping, but to invest in talent one believes in. I’ve been in this business long enough to recognise genuine talent. And these directors are here to stay.”
