Veteran actress Neena Gupta put up a stellar performance in her recent hit, Badhai Ho, but the actress, who directed the TV series Saans ages ago, reveals that she is ready to wield the microphone once again. “Yes, I am planning to direct a film, but I need the right script. Directing is not an easy job and I need to give my 100 percent. If I find an interesting script, I would love to go behind the cameras. I directed Saans so I have a sense of direction,” says the actress.
When asked if she has been penning material for her directorial endeavour, the actress says, “I have many thoughts and I am writing something interesting. I want to put things together and want to make this an interesting one. I can’t reveal much about it, but this is something that’s very close to my heart.”
Though the critically acclaimed actress is known for her unflinching personality, Neena says that there is a softer, lesser-known side to her. “I don’t think I am as strong as the media perceives me. I am very vulnerable, in fact, I am very badly and stupidly vulnerable. It’s just a myth that I am strong,” insists the 59-year-old actress.
