Kalank teaser: Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan starrer promises a dazzling cinematic experince

Mumbai: The makers of Kalank left no stone unturned in getting their fans excited for the big teaser of the film. And finally the much anticipated teaser is here!

Directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Kalank boasts of an impressive multi-starrer cast bringing together the likes of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt.

Set in 1945, in Pre-Independence India, Kalank is a tale of eternal love. The grand period drama boats a star-ensemble and depicts cinema on a grand scale, larger-than-life in terms of visual pleasure. The rich color the beautiful dresses and the beautiful sets scream grandeur.

Before Kalank teaser came out on Tuesday, the exciting character posters of the cast were unveiled over two days. The posters of the three men of Kalank – Varun, Sanjay and Aditya - came out on March 7 and the leading ladies’ – Alia, Madhuri and Sonakshi - first looks were revealed on International Women’s Day (March 8).

Kalank brings together the hit pair of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, who have delivered blockbusters Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, after starring in their debut film Student of the Year. While Varun Dhawan has been named Zafar in Kalank, Alia Bhatt's character is called Roop.

Kalank also brings hit pair of Sanjay and Madhuri after their blockbuster films together like Saajan and Khalnayak. Sanjay Dutt plays Balraj Chaudhry in Kalank, while Madhuri Dixit-Nene is Begum Bahaar. Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen playing Satya and Dev respectively.

Kalank releases on April 17, 2019.
