Abhay Deol slams Bollywood celebrities, calls them out for endorsing fairness products

The actor took to his Facebook feed to sarcastically criticise top Bollywood actors for propogating fair skin appropriation.

Mumbai: Abhay Deol has often been hailed as the pioneer of independent cinema among the younger lot of actors, and rightfully so, for his wacky choice of roles.

The actor has also been quite outspoken and vociferous while opining about socially relevant issues.

Abhay, who was last seen in 'Happy Bhaag Jayegi,' has now taken on the crème de la crème of Bollywood, risking outting his own career in jeopardy.

Abhay took to his Facebook feed to call out the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan and others, for endorsing fairness creams and propagating racial and skin tone based discrimination.

The actor used sarcasm to put across his point and has been largely effective and startlingly blunt.

Abhay, has to be lauded for the very relevant issue that he brought up and not overzealously going overboard, losing the plot.

For now, all one can do is to wait for the stars and the manufacturers to make sense of Abhay's ramblings.
