Heartbroken, ashamed, aghast: Sonam, Alia, Bollywood reacts to Kathua rape victim
Mumbai: The nation today woke up to a heart-wrenching story of an 8-year-old who was drugged, held captive, gang raped over days and then murdered.
Worse of all, the deeds were held in a Hindu temple, by people who claim to be godly and a person who worked for the law.
In spite of the latest reports, the BJP ministers have allegedly sought to defend those being accused.
The whole country, including Bollywood celebrities like Farhan Akhtar (who is also the founder of MARD – Men Against Rape And Discrimination), Sonam Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Richa Chadha, Vir Das and others have reacted to it.
Attention famous people wt blue ticks.

I'd like to see every one of you miserable scum and your army of slimy sycophants put your parties and your bullshit aside and do something to make sure that no child ever has to face what this girl did. But you won't. Because you don't deserve this country.
Let that headline sink in for a second. pic.twitter.com/i7pN4fs5Wg

The religion of the victim and the religion of the rapist should never matter! It is of no consequence! Rape is a crime against humanity!!! Appalled that some people can actually support rapists! 😡 Shocked beyond belief!

A life is lost a childhood taken & yet everything is politically connected leading to a so called secular country getting divided on caste & religion because that digresses from the reality that our country, the silent government & its leaders still don’t respect woman or lives. https://t.co/TRNyTB8E3r

The 8-year-old was kidnapped from Kathua, near Jammu by police personnel reportedly because she was a Muslim from the nomadic Bakerwal tribe.
