Ranveer Singh is absolutely riveting in first look from SLB's Padmavati

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh has been growing the meanest beard Bollywood has seen in recent times, to portray Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus ' Padmavati.'

The actor, who will soon be seen in Aditya Chopra's 'Befikre,' has been prepping hard to play the antagonistic Alauddin in the film, which has Deepika Padukone playing the eponymous queen and Shahid Kapoor playing her rightful husband, King Rana Rawal Ratan Singh.

The actor has now shared his first look from the highly anticipated film, and it's absolutely riveting.

The still, a snap of his glaring, fiery eyes, is borderline intimidating, and gives one a glimpse into how his character will pan out, through the film. This would, incidentally, be also the first time Ranveer will be seen playing a negative role in a film.

Ranveer captioned the snap with the release date of the film, 17 November, 2017, in Roman numericals, adding to the aura of the tweet.

Well, even with this slightest of teases, Ranveer has exponentially piqued our interest in the film and we can barely wait to watch it on the big-screen.
