Tubelight cameo demanded a superstar's presence and SRK fits the bill, says Kabir Khan
Mumbai: The fans of both eternal stars, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are literally holding their breath to see both the stars electrify their chemistry on the big screens.
Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Tubelight’ has Shah Rukh in a cameo, is the news that barely could be digested by anyone, making one think that it’s just a publicity gimmick for the film.
Filmmaker Kabir Khan cleared the air in a recent interview to Firstpost, “His cameo is integrated with the film rather than using it just as a gimmick that the two Khans will be seen sharing the screen space after nine years. If you see the film, you will realize that the role demanded a superstar’s presence. It is crucial to the plot, changes the entire plot and Shah Rukh fits the bill.”
After delivering blockbuster hits like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Tubelight’ is the third association of filmmaker Kabir Khan with Salman Khan.
The film is rumoured to have only three songs, to which Kabir said, “There are much more but all of them carry the narrative forward.”
Salman and Shah Rukh were earlier seen together in the 1995 film ‘Karan Arjun’.
