Salman Khan to slow down

The actor plans to invest more time to better the content of his films, going forward.

After going at a breakneck speed for his other films and potentially compromising on content, Salman Khan will take more time to better the content in his movies.

After critics and the audience panned his 2018 release Race 3, Khan realised the importance of content and the futility of stardom in a badly made film. “That was one reason he was keen on the collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali named Inshallah. But after that film fell through, he began work on Radhe. He has also had a few sittings with his dear friend Sajid Nadiadwala, who produced Housefull 4 recently, to discuss how they need to not just keep the sequel to Kick interesting, but entertaining as well,” says a source.

Sources add that Sajid is all set to announce Kick 2 soon with Salman and Jacqueline in the lead. “They are looking at the second quarter of 2020 to start shooting so that they can release it in 2021. There will be a lot of special effects in the film, which is why it will not come in 2020. Only when Sajid is sure of how the film will shape up, he will announce the release date,” says our source.

Salman’s film Bharat was an Eid release this year. His other film Dabangg 3 will come at the end of the year. Radhe will be his Eid release in 2020.
