Watch: Kahaani 2 trailer might be dark, but making video is hilarious
With all the fun and frolic, only a phenomenal actress like Vidya can play such a grim character.
Mumbai: 'Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh' is an extremely grim and brooding affair and the trailer is ample testimony to that. One would expect the making might have been a serious, no-nonsense affair.
But, ironically enough, if one's to go by the making video, it isn't too hard to be tricked into believing a slapstick entertainer's production is underway.
Vidya and Sujoy, who are known to be real life friends were evidently goofing around during shoot and had a ball.
With all the fun and frolic, we wonder how she managed to get her dark act right. Well, the phenomenal actress that she is, that's no answer too difficult to unravel.
The film is an official sequel to Sujoy's own 'Kahaani'. It had put a career too many on a sky high pedestal, including those of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sujoy, and even Vidya to a fair extent.
The sequel has Arjun Rampal as a cop fresh on the trail of the mysterious Durga Rani Singh, played by Vidya.
The film, which also stars Jugal Hansraj has been written by Sujoy himself, and is scheduled to release on December 2, 2016.
