Twinkle Khanna praises Katappa on Twitter, only to realise it is not him but his son

Mumbai: Twinkle Khanna is perhaps in the best phase of her career currently, publishing two books and also turning a producer recently with the film 'Padman.'

However, she usually makes news for her witty comments about various current affairs on Twitter and in her columns.

The writer-producer, however, goofed up perhaps for the first time on the social networking website.

Twinkle recently watched the blockbuster film ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ and later took to Twitter to say in her trademark witty style that she was calling her daughter Nitara by the name of one of the most popular characters, Katappa, much to her superstar husband Akshay Kumar’s annoyance and that she was getting obsessed with the name Katappa, calling it addictive, just like eating wafers.

Sibi Sathyaraj, son of Sathyaraj, who played the character of Katappa in the film, retweeted her post and said that he was really honoured.

Twinkle mistook Sibi to be the actual Katappa and went raving about how marvellous he was and congratulated him for the resounding success of the film.

That’s when Sibi corrects Twinkle that he was Katappa’s son, and said that his father was a big fan of Twinkle’s father, yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna, and conveyed his regards to the family.

Twinkle accepted her goof-up and conveyed Sibi her best wishes.

This is not the first time such a goof-up has happened as cricketer Anil Kumble had also made headlines recently when he accidentally tagged Sagarika Ghose instead of Sagarika Ghatge while wishing Zaheer Khan for his engagement.

Celebrities perhaps need to be a bit more careful on social media.
