Vikas Bahl still on board Super 30
With the allegations against Vikas Bahl troubling the makers of the film Super 30, the film’s release date may also be in jeopardy. Having planned to release the film around the same time as Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika, the film may now not hit the screens with Bahl taking the legal route against his colleagues Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap for allegedly trying to defame him.
Unlike Sajid Khan who has stepped down from Housefull 4 as the director, along with actor Nana Patekar, Vikas is still on board as a director. While the lead actors of his film, Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur, have issued statements expressing concern, Vikas continues to be a part of the project so far.
“Vikas is going to court to prove his innocence in the case and will try and face the situation using the court of law, rather than resigning from the project whose shoot he has completed as a director. It is highly unlikely that he will step down, unless the makers – Sajid Nadiadwala and Reliance Entertainment decide to make him do so. But they are also waiting to see the initial outcome of Vikas’s legal effort,” says a source.
Vikas was accused of sexual harassment by a former employee of Phantom Films, which had Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena as partners. The victim alleged Vikas had behaved inappropriately.
