No truth to reports of Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil being copy of Daredevil
Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan's 'Kaabil' has a tough battle on its hands at the box office, with the film all set to clash with Shah Rukh Khan's 'Raaes' as both films are scheduled to release on January 25 next year.
However, rumours started doing the rounds recently that popular streaming and production company Netflix were reportedly planning to sue the makers, claiming ‘Kaabil’ has plagiarised from their show ‘Daredevil’.
The company was reportedly miffed about the glaring similarities between the film and the show, as the protagonists in both of them are blind and the action sequences and colour schemes are also looking similar.
Sanjay Gupta, the director of the film, however, slammed the similarities, “It is a preposterous comparison because Hrithik is not a superhero in Kaabil. His character is that of a blind man who does what he does best. In Daredevil, the protagonist fights 30 people at a time. None of that is happening in Kaabil. If they sue us, we’ll definitely fight back."
However, the company has clarified the reports and said that they don't intend to take any such step and that they are looking into the source of the rumour.
