Hrithik Roshan chooses Sanjay Gupta over dad

For the past two weeks, buzz is that Hrithik Roshan is keen on including a fresh name to direct the fourth instalment of the Krrish series. Rakesh Roshan, who directed the last three instalments, has relentlessly delivered four back-to-back hits for his son, starting with Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai, Koi…Mil Gaya, Krrish and Krrish 3. But it seems like the actor now wants a break from the tried and tested methods of his father and is rooting for director Sanjay Gupta to join the project. “Gudduji (Rakesh Roshan) actually got court cases for Kaabil regarding copyright which is directed by Sanjay Gupta. So it’s rather strange that Hrithik is actually backing Sanjay to direct Krrish 4 and has also suggested his father Rakesh Roshan to let younger hands take over the reins,” says an insider. The upcoming Krrish 4 has been in the news much before producer-director Rakesh Roshan officially announced the film.

On the other hand, Sanjay is quite close to Hrithik and the actor is quite impressed by his technical expertise. As Krrish 4 is slated to hit the screens in Christmas 2020, who chairs the director’s throne for the project remains to be seen.
