Katrina Kaif is one of the many actors who are consciously working towards the betterment of society. Aside from actively participating in the school that her mother runs down South, the actress also advocates for saving the environment.
At a recent awards function in Mumbai, Katrina took the opportunity to laud the government’s nationwide ban on plastic. “Whatever Mr Modi has done is absolutely fantastic, and it’s an incredible initiative. It’s all about lending our support to it now. Even if we can do something small like not using plastic straws and bottles, it makes a huge difference,” she says, adding that caring for the environment is the need of the hour.
“We all need to do our bit about the environment as it is really a grave concerning issue. This is happening so fast and so aggressively that we can no longer ignore it. So I think everyone needs to wake up and become conscious of what is happening. We have now come to a point where we will all notice the adverse effects, as it will only increase,” she says in conclusion.
