Vaani Kapoor blames Aditya Chopra

Vaani Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will soon be seen in the upcoming film, Befikre, directed by Producer/Director Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films.

Vaani was last seen in the 2013 hit film, Shudh Desi Romance, under the same banner. Explaining why it took her nearly three years to be seen on celluloid after the first flick, she blames Aditya Chopra straight on! “Kyunki, unhone mujhe baitha ke rakha tha,” she retorts. “He had said to me that ‘you will definitely get an apt role that will be good for you as your second film. Whatever project comes your way will justify your second film as well’. So, I kept waiting for him. However, he took almost three years to complete this film. I had no choice but to wait. So, it took me this long to be back with my second film,” quips an unhesitating Vaani.

With the conversation drifting towards Ranveer, she praises him, saying, “I feel Ranveer is a good soul. Working with him made me see the goodness in him,” she says, continuing on a lighter note, “Ranveer also troubled me a lot, but working with him was fun.”
