Producer Ekta Kapoor’s new series Broken is all about love that heals the heart not breaks it. However, unlike her others series, this one seems clean and wholesome and Ekta reveals that it was not her decision to make it that way.

Ekta Kapoor says, “This is a very clean series, unlike the other series. It was not my decision because somehow, I like it dirty. But every story has its own narrative and you have to stick to that.”

The series is written by Reshu Nath of Bose: Dead/Alive fame. Broken shows Vikrant Massey romance Harleen Sethi, who will be making her web-series debut with this venture.

Talking about how attached she is to the series, she says, “This is as close to my broken heart as it can get. Yes, I have had a loss of self-esteem. I have been successful and in certain sections of my life I have felt unsuccessful and broken. Once somebody walks away from you, you realise you are not good enough and you start working on yourself.”

The producer also feels love as a subject has not really been explored much in the web space. She says, “I feel the web doesn’t explore love as much because they have so much more to explore. But I feel with storytelling in TV and films, we have lost out on the details. I don’t know how big the show will be, but I want it to connect emotionally.”
