Aamir Khan to work on Mahabharata franchise?
When you want to take on the mighty Baahubali, you need the support of the gods. And that's what Aamir Khan is looking for. The actor has teamed up with Secret Superstar director Advait Chandan for a series on Mahabharata, which will be a franchise. The Mahabharata is the biggest epic from the Indian soil. Aamir understands that the myth has the potential of many stories that could be told in a series of films.
Buzz is that Advait is slated to helm the first part of this series and work will start soon after Aamir is done with promoting the now under production Thugs of Hindostan.
Sources inform that Aamir is in a dilemma about choosing a role — Krishna or Karna, since the latter is his favourite character.
“The team brainstorming on the project feels that Aamir would be better suited to play the role of Lord Krishna as he has the charm to carry it off and tell the story of the Mahabharata. Aamir has made others be the narrator for his films like how Madhavan was the one in 3 Idiots, Anushka Sharma in PK and Aparshakti Khurrana in Dangal and tell his story,” says our source.
