Vidhu Vinod Chopra to helm a film

Vinod delved into an English film Broken Horses, which didn't exactly set cash registers ringing when it released in 2012.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is set to return to direction. The filmmaker made his last Hindi film ten years ago called Ekalavya. But before he can helm the film, Vinod has two projects to complete. “The first will be the Dutt biopic followed by Ek Ladki Ko Dekha, which stars father-daughter duo Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor,” reveals a source.

Vinod delved into an English film Broken Horses, which didn’t exactly set cash registers ringing when it released in 2012. He is now planning to start his next film by the end of 2018. The source continues, “Making an English film in Hollywood was an old dream of his, which he managed to achieve. He wanted to once make a film called The Fifth Move in which he wanted Dustin Hoffman. Even though he met Hoffman, the film never happened. Then he wanted Anthony Hopkins, but that did not materialise either. But, now he has a fabulous subject, which he intends to direct.” The film will be written by Vinod and Abhijat Joshi.
