Stage entertainer Varun Dhawan speaks of the time he froze at an awards show
Mumbai: Varun Dhawan is the entertainer in the current generation of Bollywood, and it is expected of the actor since he is the entertaining director David Dhawan’s son.
But even though Varun has seen the filmy world a lot and had the filmy keeda in him since a very long time, there was a moment when the actor froze in front of celebrities at an awards show.
In a candid chat with Rani, while revealing his ‘Hichki’, Varun said, “It actually happened in the beginning of my career, so I became an actor and I faced the camera, all that was fine. The minute you become an actor, you go to award shows and you perform there, first time I got on to stage, I don’t know what happened, I froze!”
“I started talking too fast. When you are on stage and Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and many more are right in front of you, I started blabbering, I don’t know what happened? I froze and got scared. I think celebrities freaked me out,” he elaborated.
The speaking about the solution, Varun revealed, “So to overcome it, my idol Rock Johnson, he is amazing on stage, and Elvis Presley, he too is amazing on stage. So I started watching a lot of their videos. So next time I went on stage, I imagined myself as Elvis and I told myself, I am here and I am going to own this”
