Let's change the way we think, says Ranbir Kapoor
Former flames Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone finally came together for a more than amicable walk down the ramp on Thursday evening for designer Manish Malhotra at an event organised by Shabana Azmi’s Mijwan Welfare Society.
Mijwan Welfare Society works on uplifting the girl child and women’s empowerment.
Ranbir said, “Firstly, we have to change the notion of masculinity. It would be a big thing if we could change the sense of entitlement associated with being male.”
He added, “Once we do that, we should provide a platform for all citizens of our country, especially to girls and the women.”
On the ramp walk, Deepika said, “This is the first time I am walking the ramp for the Mijwan fashion show. I started my career as a model and have walked the ramp many times, but this was special. It felt genuine, real and connected.”
She added, “Everyone behind the scenes has worked really hard on this. Not just putting the show together but you can see the work, effort, and craftsmanship.”
