Mumbai: Deepika Padukone and Irrfan will be paired once again in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next film based on the short story in Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The very charming on-screen couple will be seen again after their first hit film together 'Piku'.

Ever since the movie was announced, audiences have been excited to know more about the film. But it seems that the fans will have to wait a little more to see the duo together back on silver screen.

Vishal Bharadwaj took to his social media account to state that the film has been pushed back by a few months. He posted, “Pushing back film by a few months, @irrfank down with jaundice and @deepikapadukone with resurfaced back issue caused during Padmaavat. While prepping, was transported to Maqbool days. Stunning look tests, can’t wait to start shoot. Sending pyaar & duaaen to my Ustara and Afshan.”

Deepika will be seen playing a role of dreaded female gangster in the film. There were speculations about the film being a biopic on Sapna Didi and it being titled Rani. Vishal Bharadwaj had clarified on his social media account that it is not titled Rani.
