Grew up idolizing Amitabh Bachchan: Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann Khurrana has just completed a schedule of Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo with the formidable Amitabh Bachchan as his co-star. Naturally, he says that working with Bachchan Sr. is a dream come true.
“It was a moment that I had waited for. He is my idol from the time I remember. I grew up watching his films and idolizing him. And now I finally got to work with him. It was an experience that is hard to put into words,” he gushes.
Ayushmann has many reasons to admire the Baghban actor. “The way he has adapted himself to the changing trends and re-invented himself as an actor is something that I’d strive for in my career.”
Meanwhile, Gulabo Sitabo is a happy homecoming for Ayushmann. “I started my career with my mentor Shoojit Sircar and Juhi Chaturvedi in Vicky Donor. It has been a long time since then, but we wanted to find the right project to bring us together again. And Gulabo Sitabo seemed like the right fit,” the actor reveals.
Speaking further about the film’s content, Ayushmann says, “It is relevant to our times. I guess that’s going to be a constant factor in my films,” he concludes.
