Cryptic Ali expresses displeasure

Ali Fazal who usually keeps mum and lets his work do the talking, on Tuesday posted an impactful tweet. While his tweet doesn’t mention anything clearly, it perhaps seems like it’s in lines with the Padmavati controversy.

His tweet reads, “My close people tell me, yaar tum Musalmaan ho, stay out of this jhamela abhi. Dont say anything. Its not safe. You’ll be targetted. Career bana lo pehle. Phir bolna. So what do i do? Is this being scared or smart. All the ppl i look upto are numb and silent. The stars that be! (sic),” he tweeted. Loosely translated, Ali claims that he’s been asked to stay out of the matter since he’s a Muslim, and should stick to making his career instead.
