Ajay Devgn is among the producers of the film and he signed Parineeti despite issues with her sister Priyanka.
Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra's last full-fledged release was way back in 2014, but the actress has bounced back well and will now have not one, but two films releasing this year, ‘Golmaal Again’ and ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’.
Pari, who is currently shooting for the fourth instalment of ‘Golmaal’ franchise, was roped in on Ajay Devgn’s recommendation.
The irony is that over a decade ago, big sister Priyanka had walked out of an untitled film with Ajay after shooting some parts of it because she got an offer to work with then (and even now) star Akshay Kumar and her dates were clashing. Since she wanted to work with Akshay, Priyanka ditched Ajay and abandoned the project altogether.
Ajay and Priyanka have since not been on good terms.
Years later, the same and now famous actor, despite being looked down upon by Priyanka, has suggested younger sister Parineeti’s name to director Rohit Shetty for a film that is huge enough to make a fourth instalment and help Parineeti’s career.
Karma at its best?
