Acting is not about egos, says Rajkummar Rao

During the infancy of his career, Rajkummar Rao was thought of as an actor. Today, he is nothing less than a star. Rajkummar has carved a niche for himself and is carefully selecting every project he gets. The actor will now be seen in Mental Hai Kya alongside Kangana Ranaut.

“We haven’t started shooting yet, but I really like Kangana. We worked on Queen together, which was loved! And I am really looking forward to do this one,” Rajkummar said.

Ask him about the ego clashes between the stars on sets and he says his work is beyond all the drama. “For me acting is not about egos. It is something very pure — it’s about dealing with pure emotions. How can you put your egos into that?” he questions.

Mental Hai Kya is directed by National Award-winner Prakash Kovelamudi and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Shaailesh R Singh’s Karma Media. Kovelamudi is a popular Telugu actor-filmmaker, who bagged a National Award in 2006 for Bommalattam.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar will also be seen in Sree along with Shraddha Kapoor.

Telling us more about Sree, he says, “I am heading to Bhopal for the final schedule and it has shaped up really well so far. I am excited for the release and it is great working with Shraddha — she is very dedicated and hardworking.”
