No bad blood between Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Aanand

The latest buzz in B-town is about the speculated fallout between Aanand L. Rai and his protégée Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. Earlier, Aanand had produced Ashwini’s directorial debut, the much-acclaimed Nil Battey Sannata, starring Swara Bhaskar.

The news about this alleged rift spread, when Ashwiny — whose husband Nitesh Tiwari had directed Aamir Khan’s upcoming Dangal — opted out of Aanand’s next, Manmarziyaan.

However, Ashwiny, who is currently shooting Bareilly Ki Barfi with Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon dispels all rumours of a rift with her mentor. She says, “Both Bareilly and Manmarziyaan happened in my life simultaneously. Since Aanand sir also had to deliver the film in the first half of 2017, we mutually decided I direct one of the two films. Since Bareilly was set to go on floors, I decided I should do this one. Aanand sir and I are definitely working together in the future, for the love of making films and because of the marvellous equation we share.”
