Arjun Rampal's new mantra
Arjun Rampal is now over-cautious about his films. He does not want to lend his name as producer and cut down or even forego his fees for the film after he turned one for his project, Daddy.
The film, based on the life of Mumbai-based don Arun Gawli, started off slowly, but managed to gain ground to be an average grosser. As a result, Arjun did not get his normal fee for films. The actor is shying away from putting his money where his heart is.
“Arjun wants to only work as an actor for films he is not very sure about. These days, he is being very cautious about films even if he likes the subject, and is being paid the kind of monies he is asking for,” says a trade source.
After Arjun fell out with Hrithik Roshan and the tribe, he has been isolated and has not been getting the support from Bollywood colleagues that he did earlier. “He now understands that he carries the burden of his films alone with a few odd friends helping him with promotions. So, he is being wary all the more,” adds the source.
