Hrithik Roshan just pulled off a Bachchan
Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming film Kaabil will bring to the fore a side of the actor little known to his fans — that he is a great mimicry artiste too. Hrithik’s character in the film Rohan Bhatnagar is a dubbing artist in the film, one that mimics Bollywood’s much-loved baritone — Amitabh Bachchan’s — among many others. Apparently the attempt was so good that team members were convinced that sound designer Resul Pookutty had much to do with the final output. Turns out he didn’t. It was all Hrithik.
Says a source from the film’s team, “Sound designer Resul and Hrithik decided to take up the challenge of making Hrithik do the voice impersonations in his own voice. He insisted on not having anyone else do the impersonations for him. And it’s worked wonderfully.”
What does Hrithik have to say about this? “I guess this is just a reflection of the kind of impact Mr Amitabh Bachchan has had on my generation and of course the fact that hard work equals results,” he said.
