Shahid Kapoor bags three-movie deal
Shahid Kapoor has managed to ink a three-movie deal with Zee Studios at a time when production houses are not too keen on making such long-term commitments with any actor.
Shahid has completed a major portion of Batti Gul Meter Chalu, a project that was stuck for a while, and he’s plunged into the Hindi remake of Tollywood film Arjun Reddy. Details regarding his deal with Zee are likely to be announced soon.
“This deal means that the studio has invested in what it sees to be a potential superstar. The amount paid to the actor will increase as he completes each of the three films. From Shahid’s point of view, it’s a win. He charged '12 crore for his last film, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, and this three-film deal consolidates his position among the lot of rising superstars including Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan,” a source says.
On the personal front, Shahid is awaiting his second child with wife Mira.
