Diljit Dosanjh is without a heroine
Diljit Dosanjh received a lot of praise for his Hindi debut in Udta Punjab. But it seems that is all there is. After Philauri, the Sikh superstar doesn’t seem to have any more Bollywood projects at hand.
Diljit’s Kaneda, the proposed project that was to be directed by Navdeep Singh, stands shelved for a few practical reasons. The other Hindi language assignment, a biopic based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh, is stranded as a result of no female lead. It happened when Ileana D’Cruz, who was originally supposed to play the lead, opted out at the eleventh hour leaving the project in a lurch. Sources close to the film say that the actress preferred to do an Ajay Devgn-starrer during the same dates that were initially slotted for the Diljeet project. Look’s like we will have to wait for some more time to see Diljit in a Bollywood film.
