Govinda is not amused with what Kartik Aryan has done to the iconic Ankhiyon Se Goli Mare song from his 1998 hit Dulhe Raja.

The remix version, filmed with Kartik Aryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday for the film Pati Patni Aur Woh, has not gone down well with Govinda’s fans, many of whom have lashed out at what they call a desecration of the original song.

The actor has decided to stay out of any public comment on the issue. “He doesn’t want to give the remix any added publicity,” says a close friend of the actor, adding, “But he is not flattered. Far from it. Kartik, Bhumi and Ananya seem clueless about the pace and rhythm of the song.”

Govinda feels today’s generation of stars doesn’t feel the music. “He feels they dance mechanically, without feeling. One has to feel the music. He can’t see any feeling in the way his songs are done,” says the friend.

The thing that the public has spoken on most is the lack of acknowledgement for the original song, “Ankhiyon Se Goli Mare involved a lot of talent besides Govinda and Raveena Tandon. They should be acknowledged,” the source adds.
