RIP Sridevi: Karan Johar rushes to Janhvi Kapoor on hearing the sad news

Mumbai: Sridevi’s untimely demise in Dubai has left Indians striken. The 54-year-old actress had gone to celebrate her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding, when she suddenly had a cardiac arrest.

While late Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor were with the actress during the incident, the elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor stayed back in Mumbai to shoot for her upcoming Bollywood debut film ‘Dhadak’.

Sridevi had reportedly entrusted Karan Johar with the responsibility for her daughter’s debut, which is how ‘Dhadak’ happened.

Now according to a report on BollywoodLife, as soon as KJo heard the news of Sridevi’s sad incident, he rushed to Janhvi and took her to Anil Kapoor’s residence, which is where the actress currently is reportedly staying. The two were reportedly accompanied by Janhvi’s manager and friend Reshma Shetty.

It is also being reported that the budding actress was inconsolable and hence had to be kept at Anil Kapoor house, where the rest of the Kapoor family gathered.

In the latest update, Sridevi’s body will arrive at 8 pm and her funeral will most likely be scheduled for Monday.
