Deepika Padukone can't wait for Padmaavat's box office numbers

Explaining that the team is letting the movie talk in the face of protests, Deepika Padukone is relieved and happy that Padmaavat has released.

Padmaavat has finally released all over the country, amidst beefed up security for both, the cast and the crew of the movie, as well as for theatre owners.

And Deepika Padukone is now excited, as well as relieved, all at once. Draped in a reddish pink saree for an event, Deepika sighed, “We spoke to the theatre owners too. We’ve faced innumerable problems, and have gone through them, not just while making the movie, but also after its completion. The film is finally releasing and getting a positive response not just to it, but for my performance as well makes me emotional. We’re all excited about the release. We need to celebrate this big day.”

Furthermore, Deepika explains that she’d rather let the movie do the talking, in the face of crises. “Everything has its destined time. Now, the release of the film is a befitting answer. We don’t need to say anything more. I’ve never been excited about the box office numbers of any of my films. But this time, I’m very excited to know the results of Padmaavat. I’m hoping for a good response.”

As far as the security goes, Deepika has been given police protection till the issues around Padmaavat die down. There are two constables outside Deepika’s Prabhadevi home, and more inside the building. Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali too have been offered protection. Despite attempts to meet with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a comment, the director remained unavailable.
