Salman Khan plays the smart game with his debut actors
If reliable sources are to be believed, Salman Khan came this close to casting Isabelle Kaif opposite his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in Loveratri. It would have been an ideal choice, considering how Isabelle is Salman’s favourite co-star Katrina Kaif’s sister.
Sources say that Isabelle was nearly finalised too, when suddenly debutante Warina Hussain stepped in.
So, what happened? Apparently, Isabelle was a perfect for Aayush’s launch vehicle. However, a complete lack of command over Hindi and Urdu made her iffy over the project.
“Isabelle can’t speak Hindi at all. Even her sister Katrina had sailed in the same boat,” reveals a source. “Katrina’s initial films were handled by a dubbing artiste. But Salman doesn’t want Isabelle to take that route. He wants her to speak her own lines for her first film. Hence, they finalised Warina for Loveratri, while Isabelle will be making her debut opposite another Salman protégé, Sooraj Pancholi. The latter film will be produced by T-Series and directed by Remo D’Souza’s assistant Stanley D’Costa. The film will go on the floors later,” says a source.
It’s a win-win for all when you’re part of the Khan-daan!
