Padmavati brings Deepika, Ranveer closer
The sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project Padmavati have been relocated to the outskirts of Mumbai, at Dahisar. The filmmaker took the decision to move here to ensure the safety of his crew in the wake of the repeated attacks by alleged right-wing activists in Jaipur.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh don’t seem to be complaining about this change of plans though, because they are closer to home. And by home, we mean the apartment owned by Ranveer on the city’s peripheries. That is Ranveer’s go-to space, which he now shares with Deepika. Thanks to that, the time spent in their commute to the shoot is negligible. It also saves Deepika precious hours that are needed to dress up for the larger than life character she plays.
It’s wonderful to see actors choose practicality and be nonchalant about it. Deepika and Ranveer certainly raise the professional quotient in addition to giving us relationship goals.
