Why has Kamal Haasan put his political plans on hold?

It was going to be the biggest crossover from politics to cinema of the year. But now it looks unlikely that Kamal Haasan would start his own political party any time in the near future.

According to sources, Kamal was all set to announce his own political party by the end of the year but has now put his plans on hold. A source close to the actor, says, “Kamal is not sure he wants to float his own party at the moment. In fact, he may drop the plan altogether and simply work from outside   a formal political party. His commitment to working into the political system remains unchanged. But he may not form his own political party at all.”
